Back Ups

I posted a forum a long time ago about backing up. But I had more specific questions. I have important documents that I would like to back up on an external hd. Is there a way so I can do this once a week. I was using the windows back up but it would then keep coping files so the hd would get full. I would rather like it once a week back it up, and replace that of the old back up. I hope that makes sense. If anyone has some suggestions on free programs that do that that will be great. Thank you!

okay cool but what is the difference between sync toy and the windows back up system? Thanks.

I will try it out but can you set it up to do regular schedule of duplicating all the documents onto an external. And will it delete the ones that were previously there. Thanks.
