Outpost.com has the unit CC had a while ago for $70-$60
linkified
$15.00 Rebate! Regularly $29.99 (rebate expires on 04/30/02)
Rebate Requirements:
Rebate good on purchase of a BE500 UPS between 4/1/2002 & 4/30/2002
rebate linkified

I'd buy one if i needed a decent UPS.....the one i got at CC is hooked up to dad's machine (amd 1.2ghz w/ 300w P/S) running SETI it has approx. 7 min runtime, which i consider rather good. Only downside is that their software doesnt support XP yet, and I find XP's compatibility to be not that great....so it sometimes just shuts power off without shutting down etc...other than that, great unit for the price. Can't be beat.

Bump for a sweet deal. If you purchased this item from CC or Staples lately it is time to file for the BVG! I'll put out a net of $30 for two of these (plus tax on $75) after BVG and rebates.

Hot deal for me!

If we did the deal through Circuit City, can we also do this MIR? I would think the answer is yes, considering this looks like a seperate rebate from APC, but you never know with rebate companies.

yeah 🙁 too bad I didn't put it on my AMEX...i carry my amex in one wallet and my visa in the wallet that i take to school (all it has is a visa, metrocard, and student ID nad a few bux)...so after school i didnt have my amex and lost out on $45 dang 🙁

Man, outpost.com sucks compared to the good old days. The real total on this thing is about $25 after MIR, considering ground shipping is ~$8 and tax for some of us is ~$2. To much money for something I really don't need.

love these things once you get your computer shut down in a power outage plug in a desk lamp with a 40 watt bulb an you got a light till the power comes back unless it's a long outage

Thanks for the posting. I just ordered one, nice price after, after shipping cost and rebate I'll have it at my door for $21.80

Thanks again. I hope to return the favor.

I went ahead and ordered me one. I was in need of another surge suppressor anyways. Considering most decent surge suppressors cost 20 bux, I figured why not spend the couple extra bux and get this.

Thank You

Damn bastards just tricked me into 2nd day shipping...I went with the defaults and noticed that it was $15 for shipping. Now I have to call and change the order. Good deal though.

those asking if its in store...i'd assume so cause the rebate form says at FRY's OR outpost.com........besides, do you people not have this thing called a phone?

just ordered mine a lil while ago at 29.99 before rebate
and now just noticed they bumped the price up to
Price: $ 44.99
After Rebate: $ 29.99

I ordered this Monday night right after the first post with ground shipping and it showed up today!! 🙂 I was charged $36.12 after shipping. Hopefully if you ordered before they changed the price you still get it at the lower price.

hahahaha that's funny
I almost fell for it but I checked the price and was like "HUH?" the noticed the little link to switch it... sneaky!

I don't think we can. The rebate specifically states that the BE500 has to be purchased from Fry's or Outpost.com, so...no extra rebate for us.

Hello all,

I was a little late on this one. What was the original price (before MIR) you paid for this unit 44.99 or 29.99. It is coming up in the cart as 44.99.

Is this right? Thanks.
