i was looking into buy a dvd burner and was wondering what software would i need to be able to make back up copies for my xbox and ps2. also wondering....would i have to buy a mod chip for these systems....i remember hearing something about a mod chip for the ps1.

Sure, and I'm Bill Gates. Look for ways to pirate games somewhere else, but not on Anandtech, you fvcking loser.

eh, give em the benefit of the doubt (Even though I'm sure what he wants is illegal). You can make backup copies of games to help save your originals. The games are quite fragile.

For PS2, there is a company, Slide Card (don't have the link handy) that sells CDs that can boot backups of games, without a hardware mod chip. Needless to say, this is probably your easiest option.
