BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY---19.99 AT BEST BUY

Whoa, no way...gotta pick this up then. Of all the DVDs I have, I haven't gotten any of the big box sets recently. Alien Quadrilogy, Scorsese set, Indy Jones, Back to the Future, Godfather...only one I've gotten is Star Wars plus the LoTR:EE releases.

excellent.

anyone know about that issue about replacing one of the discs because some scenes were not properly formatted? is it still possible to do so?

If not, you'll have to go back in time.

Back to the Future DVD News (official)

This is their BTTF Trilogy "OUTTA TIME" promotion.

They're going to stop production of this set on June 6, 2005.
Pricedropped to $27.98 SRP now, which makes it around $20 at most retailers.

Good price. Great set.
But there are rumors of a new special edition re-release sometime in the near future.

If you are picking up the widescreen version, check the back UPC sticker for the V2.0..
BTTF 2 & 3 had some cropping issues on some scenes. That's the fixed version (2.0).

The Amazon preorder is for the reissued fixed version (with proper formatting in 2 & 3). My guess would be that Best Buy is trying to clear out their stock of the v1 discs. Granted, you can send in the discs and get them replaced for free, but it's probably just as well to wait a couple days for Amazon to send the proper ones in the first place.

I think it is still possible to get them replaced.

I'm going to check this out tommorow and see if they have any of the V2 sets at my Best Buy. I would like to just pickup the V2 and not have to send Part 2 and 3 back for replacements.

V2 is marked on the box UPC, I think. Also some of the V2 box sets have a green and white sticker on the front saying remastered.

Anyway great deal for $19.99

How could any retailer still have the bad versions in stock? The thing came out over a year ago, and they were fixing them within just a month or so, weren't they?

Yeah, but not all stores sold out of the original V1s so they still have them.

They didn't do a recall of the original sets.
