Rofl, yea, it really is blocked.

But anyways, this is the quote at the top of the linked page:

Buzz out: Rumored Talks of Cast & Crew for the 2016 Back to The Future Remake. "If this were 1985, this would be the cast Id want!" Robert Zemeckis Proposals of a budget of 180 million to produce this classic remake!

What a joke. 3 of the 7 potential cast members listed are from Breaking Bad. Sad state of affairs

that will without a doubt be terrible if it happens but I wont lie, I really want to see John Malkovich's interpretation of Doc Brown for some reason.

I think Benedict Cumberbatch and Anna Kendrick would make better Dad and Mom McFly's than the ones on that list. The original movie had younger actors who were made up to look older when in the year 1985 anyways.

Hm,so are they going to travel back to 1986?
Will aaron have to learn to breakdance to not look suspicius at the school dance?
Is he gonna kick off grunge by performing "Smells like teen spirit" in front of the school band that happens to include a cusin of kurt cobain?
Will he be standing in front of duck hunt searching for 3d glasses?

A lot of questions and not enough answers...

I doubt there is a remake coming. I believe this rumor was started by the official BTTF facebook page making a post saying "the future is coming 2015". Add that to a bunch of people that need link bait, and everything went nuts.

Probably more likely there is a new ride going to be announced at Universal Studios or some such thing.

Robert Zemeckis has firmly shot down a possible remake or reboot for the BTTF franchise. Thank god.

"Oh, God no. That can’t happen until both Bob [Gale, his co-writer] and I are dead," he told The Telegraph. "And then I’m sure they’ll do it, unless there’s a way our estates can stop it."

"I mean, to me, that’s outrageous. Especially since it’s a good movie. It’s like saying ‘Let’s remake Citizen Kane. Who are we going to get to play Kane?’ What folly, what insanity is that? Why would anyone do that?"

Yeah, I think it's fine to remake bad movies, but why remake something that is already good & that everyone loves? If anything, make BTTF 4, or remake the second one, which was the dumb one.

If anything, make BTTF 4, or remake the second one, which was the dumb one.

The fact that there is no BTTF 4 shows that some people have sense as the trilogy wrapped up the best story lines. If you play the BTTF game that incorporates the story lines that hit the cutting room floor (like the prohibition era one) you see that they were crap. If those plotlines were in BTTF 4 instead of a game that movie would have sucked.

Plus BTTF 2 has been vindicated somewhat in its predictions. Sure no flying cars or hoverboards, but here we are in 2015 and we have flat tvs, drones, skype, VR headsets, fingerprint reading mobile tablet devices, 3D movies, home hydroponics, appliances you talk to, and so much more.
