Well, just got back from a 9 day vaction in Hawaii with my g/f (no pics). I was having fun laying in the sun, snorkeling, whale watching, reading and just being happy. But now I am back in Seattle which is kind of like Bizzaro Hawaii, really cold with constant grey skies. I got to work this morning where I had over 900 emails waiting for me. It took me about 5 hours to read them all. Worst of all I am starting to feel like I was never there. I mean two days ago I was sipping Mai Tais with my g/f on a beach and now I am in an office with a mountain of crap to do. It's like my mind is trying to purge out all the fun memories I had there just so I won't be depressed. I mean, it's kinda of sad that I work so hard to be able to afford a glimps of what life could be like. What does everyone say about reality.......oh yeah....it sucks. Oh well, another few months and I may get so see the sun again.

I am absolutely dying to see the ocean again. With any luck this summer, I may be able to take a day and go there.

I guess that is one plus about living in Seattle...the ocean is so close. I can't imagine being a way from it for very long.

What good is the ocean if you can't have fun in it though? It too cold to do most things in it, at least near Seattle most of the time. Well, I guess there might be boating, but I have always been an in the water type of guy. Living in Hawaii does that to ya.

I feel your pain. While not quite as exotic, I was just down on the Texas Coast (Padre Island) this past weekend. Sipping drinks on the beach, clubbing with the beautiful, tan people. Sigh. Two days of heaven and then back to BOTH jobs and 16-18 hour days. Have a Mai Tai on me! :)
