Back Problems Not Going Away

I'm not even sure how I injured myself, but I think it has to do with surfing during the summer and over arching my back when paddling out. Anyway, one morning I woke up and it started hurting.

I went to see a chiro for a few weeks but they ddin't really help. Didn't even massage my back. After that my back started healing on its own and I have most my mobility back. I can play most sports without problems. However, when I arch my back too far back there is still one point that hurts. Also, when I go snowboarding I can't take any of the bumps because it really hurts.

I don't know what to do to fix it. I don't believe in Chiro's and I have no idea what is wrong. Anybody with suggestions?

good thing a prerequisite to joining Anandtech is being an MD. otherwise, you'd get a bunch of flippant, smart-assed remarks about going to see a doctor!

go see your doctor! 😛

Just make sure you have really good group insurance first... none of that individual crap where they love to mess with your medical records.

Well.. chiro's aren't REAL doctors 😀

I'm against chiro's but I've got my own reasoning for that. Go see your regular doctor if you need to see a specialist he'll refer you.

You probably have a buldging disk in your back. You need to see a real doctor. Chiropracters don't do crap, they keep you going long enough to where your back should have been healed on its own and then try to take the credit.
