Ok, so I see tons of people get flamed for reposts - I've taken a couple myself before. Just curious how much this really upsets people.

If you're way up on the 1-10 scale, tell us why it bothers you so much, how to torture the person, etc...

1= doesn't bother you

10 = WWIII on this person
 
Is 1 pissed, and 10 not bothered at all? Or is it the other way around where 10 is pissed and 1 is not bothered at all?
 
reposts do not bother me in the slightest way unless it's one of those R x inf ones like "end of the world"

but i still feel the need to inform the poster "R"
 
are we talking a repost that has been reposted to hell and back already, or a repost where the original had an uninformative title or a simultaneous repost where one user was behind by a few seconds or a repost where the other thread is clearly on the front page?

Nope 🙂 for the reason that mine says nothing about Nazi's! AND it was 18 months ago, so therefore the audiance has changed somewhat and my experiment results will be different and is using a more controlled scale. Thanks though for turning my experiment into a forum of irony.

EDIT - PLUS, her poll was about not liking the people who yell reposts...mine is understanding the effect upon the forum by the reposters.
 
Reposts do not bother me at ALL!

If it is a good repost, like a big funny, then I am just glad to see and remember it. If its just a stupid repost I ignore it.

Yes it isn't exactly the same poll, but close. Read my link - it was a repost of many other reposts. Unfortunately those old posts are gone forever. I couldn't link to something that doesn't exist any more. I was just having fun though.

I picked 3 because most of the time it doesn't bother me. But there are a couple people who keep doing it for stuff that was easily searched for. Those ones get on my nerves.
 
It really depends on the nature of the repost. If it's something that was posted a long time ago and few people even remember it, or the original had an unsearchable title, then I don't really care.

But some reposts, like asking what "nef" means or the origin of people's usernames/avatars, should be punishable by castration with a rusty butter knife.
