Back key causes page cannot be displayed error

Windows xp home sp2. I do a search and get a list of articles. When I click one to look at it all is well, but most of the time when I hit the back key to go back to the search results list, I get the page cannot be displayed error.

I recently tried firefox and it didn't seem to have that problem. Any idea what setting in IE is causing this? I posted a question about it to a windows support newsgroup and they suggested that some sort of cacheing tag on .asp type pages could cause that?

thanks,
BGC
