Well about 3 years ago, I built an expensive phase/pelt system that died a horrific water death. So my wife made me get a Dell. Now I am back to build my own setup that I want to OC and was wondering what people parts people thought of for a $2500 system. Thanks in advance!!!

I alreays have the screen but want to upgrade the mouse and keyboard. I will use the computer primarily for gaming. I probably need to pick up a new windows because I want the Vista upgrade.

eVGA 680i or Asus P5W DH Deluxe
E6600
Team Xtreem 2x 1 GB DDR2-800 4-4-4
Tuniq Tower
Corsair HX620 620W
eVGA/BFG/XFX 8800 GTX

A few ideas you can build upon.

For CPU coolers?

-Tuniq Tower
-Scythe Ninja/whatever
-Zalman 9500/9700
-Arctic Freezer 7

All very capable....mostly differ in price and cooling ability. Tuniq for more extreme overclocks on air, Arctic for cheaper budget, Zalman for all around sexiness and usage.

C2D E6600
2x1GB of DDR2-800 or higher ram
the p5w dh deluxe (intel 975x chipset), the p5b deluxe (intel 965x chipset) or the evga nforce 680i board
74GB raptor (if you want a fast HD to boot from)
320GB (or higher if you wish) seagate hard drive
probably an 8800GTS or even a 8800GTX

that should be a base for you if your budget is $2500.

*cough lucky duck cough*
