It's been a while so i got a question about video cards... i have a 7800gt, is that better than a 2600xt? Because i can get a rockin deal on one at my work :EEE, and if it isn't, can anyone help me decide what the new midrange best is?

Your current card is better, don't waste your money if you don't want it for a second system. The only recommendable card for midrange would be Radeon HD 3850.

Radeon 3850 has reworked the pricing structure. This card beats the 8600GTS, 7950GT, and even the x1950xtx doesn't stack up favorably against it. Great performance for $175.

hey the 2600xt seems to be better than the 7800gt in games like unreal 3 crysis and cod4. its not that bad of a card.
