Sennheiser earbuds have always been pretty "meh" for me. I own a pair of HD570's and they have been fantastic, but the Senny earbuds I've tried have sounded flat and lifeless compared to the cheap Sony's I usually use.

$8 for brand-name earbuds is a good deal though. Although, it appears to be OOS.

I have had limited experience with them but a lot of people tend to like em. Anyway, these ones are cheap enough and good enough for someone to use at the gym or while exercising.

Many cheap headphones and buds have boosted response consumers tend to like, but the MX400 are actually excellent headphones with a flat natural response. Fit in the ear also plays a big part in the sound, too loose and no bass.

Amazon used to have them for $10 with $25+ free shipping, and I would order three at a time to replace lost ones and give to friends.

nice I just saw this in the daily Buy.com email newsletter. I used to have the Sennheiser MX500 (MX400 with built-in volume slider control) which was a nice set and used it for years until I dropped it in a public restroom on an Airplane :'(. Ordered 3 sets to keep as spares.
