Wow, back-to-back 48 hour madness sales from Gogamer. Wish they had this deal on DoW2 a few days ago though...coulda saved a few bucks on shipping when I got Prince of Persia for $22.

Another great deal in there is GTA 4 for $30. Great game, although Quad core is highly recommended, a very fast 3GHz+ C2D or Phenom at the minimum, imo. Game is heavily CPU bottlenecked, so slower duals and single core users should stay away.

Hidden and Dangerous 2 is also a nice throw-in for $4.

Yes its a console port, but like most console ports, GTA4 is far superior to the console versions provided you have the necessary hardware. In GTA4's case, the increased visual quality from higher resolutions and texture quality aren't the problem, you'll see very little difference between mid-range DX10 to high-end DX10 video cards, just a benefit from more VRAM.

The increased view distance, shadows, car density etc. is the problem as these settings all significantly increase demands on CPU time. GTA4 is also heavily threaded to take advantage of the highly parallel RISC CPUs on the consoles, which again gives slower-clocked Quads an edge over faster-clocked Duals.

PCGH GTA 4 CPU benchmark

You'll get pretty good frame rates on your rig since you have a fast C2D, but it'll still play much better on a Quad. Turning down viewing distance, shadows, car density to the absolute minimum will significantly increase performance and the game will still look better than the console versions.

I have that MS Digital Media Pro keyboard lying around here somewhere. It's pretty full-featured and solid-feeling. Good build quality, lots of function keys. It's also pretty comfortable for typing on with the wristrest attached.

No light-up keys, though, of course :). Size-wise, it's the same width as an Eclipse II, but deeper, even without the wristrest.

Worth it with the $9 shipping? I have a tired Saitek now.

That is the question. I bought a pair of these last time they were $5.99 and I love them. I found that to get the cheapest shipping per keyboard you need to buy 2 then the shipping is $7.45, or something like that, per keyboard. If you order more or less the shipping increases per keyboard for whatever reason.

I'm tempted to get another pair of these. I rigged my desk with a cold cathode light that sits over the keyboard tray (red of course) so I don't need backlight keys to play at night. And even after the crappy shipping the price is not so bad.

Isn't there a problem pressing 3 keys simultaneously with this keyboard?

Not that I have seen or experienced. When I read the newegg reviews on it the people who experienced that problem seemed to be using the PS2 adapter and not in it's native USB. I have not tested mine specifically but I can tonight. I have done some portal, L4D, and FEAR playing with it and never noticed any input issues.
