Back from our cruise...

L

Lola

Iamwiz82 and I were supposed to have sailed a month long South Pacific/New Zealand cruise but had to cancel it because of a new job I took.

So, instead, we took a week long Caribbean cruise with our families.
In these photos you will find, myself, iamwiz82, my mom, my aunt, brother, new-sister-in-law-to-be (she is so cute!!!) and Iamwiz82's parents.

We cruised on Holland America's ms Zuiderdam to Grand Turk, Tortola, and St.Thomas.

Hope you enjoy the photos!

Awesome pictures. But your pictures always make me sad cause you're always in paradise while I'm not. :(

:p

BTW, what was the name of the cruise line? Looks nice.

When I read, "Back from our cruise", I knew it was you Lola. You are always going somewhere. Like Craka said, it makes me sad as well. :(

What kind of camera housing do you have to take it underwater? And what camera are you guys using?

Incredible pictures once again! How did you take the underwater pictures? Did you get a waterproof case for your camera or a single use camera?

Thanks all for the thoughtful comments/compliments!!

For the camera stuff... I will let Iamwiz82 say because I am not sure... all I know is that it was worth the money for the casing!!

Mosh, you are right, we are already planning our next one because we love it so much.
This cruise was the best one we have ever taken. It was our second time on the Zuiderdam (Holland America Line...for those that wanted to know!)

Anyone that wants to know anything else about HAL or the ports we stopped at, just let me know. For most of the ports, it was our third/fourth time.

The best part of the cruise was that I got to see my brother since i had not seen him since Christmas. It was also very special because he got engaged while sailing!

Once again, thanks for the kind words, I also do not want anyone to think that I came here and posted to boast, but to share... :)

I've been on a Holland America's cruise before. I believe it was the Veendam and had a blast.

That is a Canon WP-DC60 underwater camera case for an A510/A520. We actually have an A530 (About half the shots in the gallery are from it, the blurry ones are from my mother-in-law's old A60. :p) and it fit pretty well, there are a few buttons that do not work in the case (Preview, one or two menu buttons) but everything else lines up well. My only complaint is that it's very difficult to feel the shutter focus through the button, so I lost a number of shots I thought had focused.

This was number 5. We are already planning the next vacation. Every time we go to St. John we swear we want to visit it on a land vacation, then we check out the prices of Caneel Bay and that idea flies away. :(.

I was on Zuiderdam. Nice ship.

It's a great ship, but she is showing her age, or rather the years of inconsiderate guests. I believe it is scheduled to be drydocked next year to get the SoE upgrades and to have the back of the ship retrofitted to be like the Noordam. Noordam and Zuiderdam docked next to each other.. Noordam is on the left. We always get the aft suites, so the upgrade isn't really a good thing for us. Less balcony space.
