I know for some of you, you might have seen this on other forums too, but I had to share them with everyone :)

The trip was amazing. I had a great time. The place was spectacular. So beautiful and so green. I had an amazing time seeing the country where most of my family comes from.

I got to do a zip line canopy tour in Monteverde, which I don't have pictures of, but was one of the best things I've ever done. It was so much fun.

Check out the pictures from the rest of the trip.

WOW!! :Q Most excellent photos, Peacock! That place is more beautiful than I had thought- very very nice... whoa, your grandfather was taking a leak on the wall?? Or was he cool enough to pretend that and have you snap a photo? Lol! :D Well nevertheless, looks like you had a great time. Very very pretty. I'll even refrain from using my Costa Rica jokes from the South Park 'Rainforest' episode.

Thanks for sharing! :)

Yea, I so want to buy a house or something there. The place is spectacular.

GTI,

yea, he was standing near the sign looking at the dam that we were on top of. When I was snapping the picture, he jumped in it. The look on his face is great too. Makes him look like a little kid that is doing something wrong.

I didn't see that episode, what were the jokes?

Nice pictures! I used to live in Panama, and my family and I would take frequent trips to Costa Rica. Beautiful country :)

I love costa, i went surfing there last year. First we went to Tamarindo then to the Carribean (south of limon near puerto viejo) in the town of Cahuita. The drive from the pacific over there was amazing seeing two different types of scenery.

Woweeeeeeee! I wish my pics were as good as those! I'm glad you had a good time. You were actually pretty lucky to get a picture of a perizoso (sloth). Playa Manuel Antonio and Manzanilla/Punta Uva photos brought back memories--I've stood in those exact spots.

Long live the memories!

I stopped in Tamarindo and had a ceviche. I spent my last few days in Flamingo, about 14 km from Tamarindo. That northern coast line was very different. Before going to guanacaste, I was in Punta Uva, south of Cahuita. The ants and the sloth were pictures I took in Cahuita park. Just amazing vegetation over on the Caribbean side. I think Flamingo was my favorite beach though, more than Manuel Antonio. I didn't spend as much time there, so maybe that will change next time I go. :)

Great pics! The sunsets were gorgeous. Do you have any high res images of those?

all the pictures have at the bottom the option to open the original, which is 1600x1200 for almost all the pictures. Let me know if it doesn't work for you, I can zip them and put them up for you to d/l.

Excellent pictures.

What Camera did you use?

An Olympus C-2100UZ. It has 10x Optical zoom, which made most of those shots possible.Had a UV filter or a Non-linear polarizer on there for most of my shots. I took 3 SM cards with me, should have been 4. I took a total of 354 pictures, got nearly 119 on all 3 cards. Worst thing is that I had bought a 4th card and returned it before my trip, thinking that I would never take that many pictures. I was never hurting for them, as I finished my last night taking about 20 pictures of my cousin. It was the exact amount I used, but if I had it, I would have taken more pictures.

Great shots, the tree on the rock was cool. You didn't take one shot of any Costa Rican hotties?
The womenfolk are supposed to be all kinds of fine down there, thats what I was looking to see.

There were, I just didn't snap any. From morenitas, to girls with lighter complexions, they were around :)

Costaricense girls are nicknamed "puticas" cuz they are notorious for being sluts.

Puta = slut ; Tica = native female of C.R.
