Back film for iPhone 3G

So yes, I went ahead and did it: I got an iPhone 3G after trying out "the iPhone experience" on a Touch. Aside from some annoying 3G/EDGE related stuff I'm loving it.

One thing though is that I can't seem to find a decent enough company where they sell those protective films for the iPhone 3G. PowerSupport has some great stuff, but it's only for the front multitouch screen and not for the back. I'm just worried that the back will be prone to scratches as well, so if any of you has gotten a protective film set for your iPhone that includes a back piece, let me know?

Although I'm just worried that the back plastic vinyl paint will peel if you ever tried to remove that film, maybe that's why they've just sorta been skipping it...

Thanks in advance.

I have used the Best Skin Ever and the Invisible Shield. I personally prefer the IS. The new cut of the IS is much easier to install than the Best Skin Ever and you get a lifetime warranty.

BSE isn't that hard if you take your time. They make a 2 piece back for rookies though. As for the warranty, I can buy 3 BSE for what they want for IS, and it's the same material wise.

Thanks...the instructions for BSE seem a little more complicated than usual, but I guess I will give it a go. Ordered the 2-piece just in case I messed up.
As long as removal instructions aren't too bad it's all that matters.

You know, that back paint is pretty durable on its own. When I threw my iphone against the wall, it ended up cracking the LCD, but there's not a scratch on the paint.

Not even sure it needs a film covering.

The BSE felt thinner to me than the IS. I have used both and I still prefer the IS over the BSE.

The silver apple scratches very very easily. Also I have seen keys do a number to the black paint.

I got the front and back invisible shield cover and I must say, the thing is awesome . . . it really is as scratch proof as they come. . . my only complaint would be that there are four fairly visible seams along the four corners where you tuck in the side flaps. These seams are a magnet for lint and dust to build up that becomes quite noticeable on the white iphone but I doubt it would be an issue with the black ones.

That's why I returned my IS. Hated the lint collection and how the corners didn't stick down properly. Hated how the front looked like a massive streak collection too. I heard they fixed the fitment on the back with a new design.. but I don't feel like going that route anymore.
