Win7 64-bit HP, IE8.

Now browsing AT forums from my HTPC, the first press of the "back" button, shows a swirly thing, and then I have to press it a second time to actually go back.

This does not happen on my main machine, running Waterfox 11.0.

I'm guessing this is some sort of IE8 issue with the current forum code or ad server.

I did notice, after clearing all of my cookies, that hitting back on FF, caused the AT forums (specifically, one of the ad servers) to try to put a cookie on my machine. I blackholed that domain with my hosts file. So perhaps that's why I'm not seeing that behavior on FF.

This did not happen a few days ago, and I haven't changed anything, software-wise, on my HTPC. Nor does it happen on any other site, I tried browsing Microcenter.com too, and it goes back immediately, so the issue is only with AT forums and IE8.

Same here. Win7, XP both do it with IE8.

I believe it has something to do with the ads. I used to see it on the same systems.

The appropriate parties have been informed and are tracking it down now.

We've found the problem, now we're just awaiting the solution.

It's a problem with an iframe used by Federated Media. beacon.lijit.com

It's working - a little disturbing that an ad problem can break my 'back' button.
It's unique to how IE does things. These kinds of breaks don't happen on Firefox or Chrome.
