Back after 10+ days away...a lot has happened since...

So, I defended my thesis about 11 days ago, then went to California for a conference 10 days ago, came back home 4 days ago, and I am just logging on to the forums now...did I miss anything good?

During my time in California I managed to avoid the crazy highway shooter (I was a bit nervous about this), I drove a convertible for the first time(rented pt cruiser), went to an Angels game (Sox won, but it would have been much sweeter if they had played the cubbies ), and saw Downtown Disney. Now I must get back to reality and get off my a$$...which is why I am back at OT...

I thought doctorates need to defend dissertations. Thesis is for master's degrees.

Right you are, I just finished my Master's. The defense was much easier than I thought. I crammed all this info and had everything ready, and after it all I was kind of disappointed. I wanted them to ask something harder...but, it went well! Now, I have to make some corrections and submit it...and get a job...

And the convertible was fun, however, I don't think I woulf ever want to own one...just rent on vacations.
