And even if it was bad advice, do you think that Elites always have to make good suggestions and can't ever make fun of someone? Just look at Red Dawn or even Russ sometimes. They like to make fun of people and they're still Elite. Do you think their title should be removed? I didn't think so.

Out of curiousity, if you knew for certain it was the temperature program and your computer went to hell the intant it was installed, why did it take 2 days to figure out?

Also, did you address the problem in a timely fashion with bacillus and/or post in the help thread you'd started, or just stew about for who knows how long until this thread came up? Because this seems petty and odd, coming later like this.

He suggested something. He didn't know it was going to mess anything of yours up, he was just trying to help, something we all try to do anyways... You didn't have to try his suggestion, and furthermore maybe it wasn't for you anyways. Or possibly you didn't give enough crucial system info and it was a piece of hardware that gave you 2 nights of hell.

Anyways, don't knock on us elites. We aren't perfect, we're not supposed to be, all that matters is we try to help. You don't need to be an ass about it. Let it go.

(BTW, I was in the hardware forum and saw him in quite a few posts, and he seemed very helpful, so my hat goes off to him and I'll throw another nomiation into the barrel!)

Candoman - Nobody is attacking you personally, it's just that most think it's stupid for you to want to deny his "elitism" because he gave you advice that may not have been the best for you. It could have been your fault (lack of information in your posted question) or his fault (didn't read or understand your question completely), but it doesn't matter. bacillus was just trying to help you out by telling you about a program he knew about.

narzy was just trying to tell you that attacking a well-known and helpful member over something so trivial (and where it is so hard to place blame) is not something good to do. Many people will come to the aid of bacillus and it would probably be in your best interest to just walk away.

I had 2 days of nightmare b/c of bacillus, and here is my little revenge. That's all it's about, really.

bacillus almost always posts trying to be helpful. I really think that is the strength of this forum. Good members just wanting to help. Thats the primary reason I post here. I like helping. I also need help from time to time and this is simply the place to come with "stumpers". There are a lot of very smart people here that are willing to share their time. Its unfortunate that there are some "who will remain namelessly called Candoman (Orcish-?)" that like to troll and cause mischief.

For anyone who has had problems from any advice I have given I apologize in advance..........🙂 You want to know the truth though. I accept responsibility for anything I try, even if it was someone elses advice. Ultimately I am in control of my life and my choices.

I vote yes, if member votes even count in this choice.........😉
