Bachup/ temp file Drive on a Raid setup?

I want to put two crappy old drives on my KT7raid board. Presently I have Raid0 running on Master of IDE 3 and 4. PLus a cdrom running as master on IDE1, these old drives will not be running as Raid so am I best to put them on IDE2 as slave and Master?
