Apparently, that is exactly what Tim Duncan's name means in the local language of the island he is from on St. Croix.

From ESPN:
Today is Tim Duncan's birthday. That's right, Timothy Theodore Duncan was born in St. Croix 31 years ago today. And here's an interesting fact -- in the local island language, "Tim Duncan" means: "Baby who does not cry and just sort of stares all the time and is a little bit creepy in its stoicism."
So yeah, believe it or not, "Tim Duncan" means all that. :p

Thats kind of funny. That definition actually goes with Duncan's character quite well. He just sits there and stares without any expressions in his face.

Ask the referees if Tim Duncan cries.

But it's true that he rarely exhibits any other emotions. When I heard that he got ejected from a game for laughing, my first reaction was to look for the evidence that Tim actually knows how to laugh.

Yup, when he's not laughing on the bench at refs he usually just has that blank stare on his face, which does make him look a bit creepy at times.

This begs the question, who the heck is Tim Duncan?

The best player to ever come out of Wake Forest.

Well duh! He can't play sports if he's asleep!

I know that's a bad joke, I couldn't think of anything clever.
