BEIJING (Reuters) - Firefighters in eastern China have rescued an abandoned newborn baby boy lodged in a sewage pipe directly beneath a toilet commode, state television reported, in a case which has sparked anger on social media sites.

it was a turk-style toilet, and this being a communal bathroom in china there probably was no flush involved, just a hole that goes down into the sewer and a bucket to throw water into it or something.

Anyway I don't get all the china hate, women with teh crazies regularly put babies in the washing machine in first world countries.

Oh lot of bad stuff happens here too, especially animal testing (P&G is actually one of the cruelest companies for that). But in china it's completely normal. You can even go to a restaurant and eat a fish that's still alive because they only deep fried half of it.
