Baby pictures

Do you enjoy looking at other people's baby/kid pics?

Seems like for some people, all they can do is post pics of their kids. I can tolerate the occasional pic but when their posts are 80%+ baby pics then they get added to my ignore filter. I am mostly referring to FB but it doesn't have to be for the purpose of this thread. I find food pics more interesting.

I also find it annoying when people use their kids (or pets or anything not them) for their profile pic. Use the cover photo for that.

I post pics of my kid; don't care what others think. They can block me if they want. My family lives 350 miles away, so the only way for me to easily keep up with my aunts, uncles, and cousins is through Facebook, so we all share photos.

I love kids, so I don't mind seeing kid pics posted on Facebook -- it's what people do. Some of my friends post pictures of their cars, or the knives they collect, or the food they cook on the grill, or the alcohol they drink at work (yes, seriously), or the shoes they just bought, or whatever is on their mind. It doesn't bother me; it just comes with the territory of being a part of a social community.

And my kid is my profile pic, so suck it. And just to piss you off even more, here it is 🙂

I don't like looking at kids. I don't do facebook, so I don't run into it there, but my mother likes showing me kid pictures from people I only vaguely know. I don't know why she thinks I want to see that. Any interest in kids I have is out of politeness, and first person only. I don't need to see kids from a third party where politeness isn't an issue.

I just think it's boring when that's the ONLY thing they post. Do they not have anything else going on in their life? I just want to see something else once in a while.

The profile pic thing is more about OCD than the actual pic content.

I will scroll quickly to see how everyone is growing up just like my kids. Don't feel the need to like or comment on it so I don't. Neither do you. But yes if you don't want to see it at all, go ahead and ignore them. If you aren't into their lifestyle it's likely they aren't into yours currently either. Parents only mesh well with other parents (unless you're an immediate relative then you care regardless). It's just the way it goes.

My brother's having his first kid soon. I will definitely check out his pics through the years and recall ours too. No doubt random kid-less friends of his won't have the same interest.

I don't have kids, but I honestly don't care. Doesn't bother me one bit. Is your Facebook filled with nothing but people posting pics of their kids non stop? lol

Agreed. I find more in common with my friends on Facebook that have kids (especially around my son's age) because we are going through the exact same stuff at the same time.

So is mine, due less than a month now. I honestly don't know if I will feel any different.

Marbles Kid's Museum?

Look, my baby pic!
<----

Yeah, we took him there for the first time last Saturday -- big mistake 🙂

Everyone and their grandma was there because the kids had been couped up in the house because of four straight snow days in Wake County.

My profile pic is a baby picture....I regularly posts pictures of my little sister....okay, she's 6 now...but she's still cute.

Dont have a kid, do you?

I'd rather look at pictures of naked mole rats. The rats are cuter than human babies and smell better as well.

I had zero interest before my daughter was born now its a whole new ballgame as I can find the cuteness in other peoples babies.

I have kids and I have nothing else going on in my life. Maybe when they are older this will change, but right now, it's a full time job.

There is no time for anything other than going to work, coming home and taking care of the kids, and going to bed. I would say sleep, but sleep is no long guaranteed.

stay tuned for pics of mininickbits!

I have my doubts he will post any after the first month and that is fine. His wife wife though, will probably be put on ignore. Actuallly she might already be; she posts a lot of pics of her niece(s?).
