Baby Girl FINALLY Here. Born 4/10/03 (Updated)

Due Date was 4/1/03, which came and went without any incident. Wait 9 days and we get orders from the doctor for inducement. Wife goes to hospital and they start cervidil, but to no avail. Then the pitocin starts, shortly thereafter contractions are only 3 minutes apart...time for the EPIDURAL. Wife tells me these are VERY nice.

Babies' heart rate drops during contractions, so the doctor decides to go in and get her via C-Section.

Stats :

Born 4/10/03
Weight 7lbs 10oz
Length 21 inches

Name : Ansley Elizabeth Elmore

Pics :

Not a happy baby

So so TINY

Sleeeeeeepy

Ready to go Home....same pink bonnet Mom wore home from the same hospital 25 years ago

Due date is today (poor kid), but she is being stubborn like her mother, and staying where she is. Its our first so to be late is kinda expected, but the wait is killing me. Mom is 2cm dilated and about 50% efaced (sp?)

Any moms who can relate to being late for their first? Dads, how bad was the wait?

I gotta do this in November...

Good luck to you both!
I can't wait to see all those cute pics of her!😀

😱 baby talk... pain.. agony... good thing I don't plan on knocking up any women in the near future 🙂

(and if this is a April Fools Joke... so be it... hehe)

Good Luck any how 🙂 Congrats Dad 🙂 HAHA!! 😛

the wait is fustrating...but once it starts you wont know whats going on...it all goes by so fast...yet it seems like its going in slow motion...hard to describe, but you will know what I am talking about when it happens...oh...and dont let her forget those magic words, "I WANT AN EPIDERAL!!!!!!"

ps...congrats!

Sorry, didn't have to go through it. My sister and sister-in-law did though.

My kids:
#1 was born 12 days early, 8lbs 14ozs, no meds
#2 was born 14 days early, 7lbs 13ozs, no meds

Anyway, good luck and enjoy the last few days!

Great news, and let the fun begin.

From a father of 3 (2,4 and 6), going on 4.

My oldest is a girl, too. Sometimes I think that's better, other times...

Better limber up a little so nothing cracks as she wraps you around her little finger.

I'd want a girl as my first born also 🙂
My sister for example is older than me... (not smarter hehe) but wiser and much more moderate than what I'll ever be. Plus she is loving and take great care of me. On the the other hand.. I'm like the total opposite and if I were born first... I would not be who I am today.

Getting back on topic... umm Girls being born first is awlays cooler
and BunLengthHotDog That's a nice setup you got their for your kid.. all is missing a PC and connection to AT 😛

Yeah congratulations!

Well my baby, Alex, who is 1 now was 2 weeks early. He was my first.

You said she was 2cms dilated...I was 2cms for about 12 hrs.

Then the next check was 6cms. and they were calling my Dr. to authorize my epidural....well 2 contractions later I was 10cms and ready to push!

"Sorry hon, you missed your window to have the epidural!"

So did it all natural...It actually was'nt as bad as I thought it was going to be! Not easy, but not horrible!

Good luck!🙂

Well, it has been 12 years, but it was a horrible wait, with thoughts flying (and they say a vivid imagination is good for you???) but it all went well, i am sure it will for you and your woman too...

I truly, deeply hope so... and congratulations my man, you have entered another era of your life... it's scary now, but wait until your daughter is the age mine is now...

Well actually....it's not always your choice whether or not you want to do it natural. I did'nt want to but my body decided I was. But now that I have done it...my next one, I totally will do naturally. 🙂

I just found out earlier that my cousin gave birth to a baby girl today! She did it au natural actually (2nd child). I'll probably visit her at the hospital tomorrow.
