Seriously. What do you do when you're tired. Sleep? Yes. Do you cry about it and whine, even when put in a perfect situation to get the sleep you need (in a bed)? No!

How do you know it wants sleep? Just because that's what it does after awhile, doesn't mean that's what it was crying about.

I have come to the conclusion that babies are afraid of sleep.

Rubbing eyes, hardly able to keep herself straight without collapsing, and yet still crying. Then finally she is calmed enough (not like she was playing before!) and just totally conks out and sleeps for two hours 🙂

what the hell is wrong with you people that hate babies? all they want is food and attention. they dont do things to intentionally piss you off unless you suck as a parent and teach them bad habits. im not talking to you skoorb because im sure you are a good father, but you other stupid fvcks that make comments like "i hate babies" honestly suck at life. i hope you never have kids and if you do he/she grows up and stabs in you in the face while you are asleep.
 
Well, just because we adults think a bed or crib is "perfect" for sleeping doesn't think that babies think so! My experience is that they would much, much, much rather sleep on their parents/relatives/caregivers instead. 🙂

I think, perhaps, that it's more like they want to sleep when they are tired, they just don't quite know how to go about it, which is why routines help. (Now, toddlers are another matter...)
