Led Zeppelin - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, I just heard this song for the first time. Actually I just DLed it out of curiosity, and I love the song. I already have several Led Zep albums (mostly records, one CD though, and that song ain't there), but I need more!

I get the impression that many people do not like the later Zepplin albums but I would recommend "In the Evening" from In Through the Out Door.

<< Led Zeppelin - The Lemon Song >>

Whoa there buddy...I don't like hearing Plant asking me to squeeze his 'lemon,' and let the 'juice' run down his leg :p

Well I have several Led Zeppelin albums like I mentioned. Somehow I don't think they would mind if I downloaded one of their songs. ;)

By the way, I do have Stairway to Heaven, whoever brought that one up. If I ever had to choose an all-time favorite song, it would be that. It's simply amazing. I can play it too :) Except for the crazy solo.. damn.

Led Zep does rock tho... I love 'em. I wish there were bands like Led Zeppelin today. By that I mean bands that make awesome guitar and bass riffs and play them excellently.

Heheh.

That song has just mind blowing bass in it. Amazing song!

Some people don't like the later Led Zep.. but I finally got Zep I, II, and III much later than I got the later ones.
I appreciate the early ones MUCH more because of that, and still loves the old ones.. hell, I love it ALL.
Ahhhh.. ;)

I'm no saint... and have a large large collection of their music on my PC.

I have a Guitar World with Mr. Page going on for a while about his negative feelings towards piracy of music... especially theirs. :\

Hehehe.

if you don't have it get the live album(song remains the same). puts a whole new perspective on a few tunes, esp. dazed & confused, rain song and moby dick!

I bought my girlfriend (and essentially her mother and father too) the complete studio recordings of Led Zeppelin. 10 CDs, great sh*t.......bought it from the AT FS forum too. ^_^ Ripped the first 4 albums so far, (don't flame me.......technically it's mine and she's just borrowing it? whatever ;-) . Never listened to them much, but I have to admit it's all amazing stuff.

If Led Zep's studio offerings seem overwhelming, do what I did and get the 10-CD box (the Complete Studio Recordings). Set me back about $95.

Presence and In Through the Out Door are the albums with the weak material, but there are a few gems on them, too.

I have all of Led Zeppelin's official releases on cd and the video. They are an amazing band.. and I think that Babe I'm gonna leave you is great because it shows that they can do acoustic songs as well as electric.. that combination and their chemistry made them one of the best bands ever!

if you liked that, you should get Led Zeppelin III, which has a lot of good acoustic tunes on it.

I liked Zep many years ago, but now when I hear it I'd like to slap Plant around for singing like a dying cat. Page and Bonham are/were great, but I can't stand Plant's caterwalling.

Slightly OT:

Anybody remember the show Viva! Variety on Comedy Central?

They had a segment called: Plant or Animal?

They would play sound clips and the contestant would have to guess whether it was an animal or Robert Plant.

Seriously funny stuff!!! And more difficult than you'd think.

:D

Considering Babe Im gonna leave you.. is the 2nd track on their first CD, it sure does. ;)

Page has always, and probably started with acoustic. He's always had an interest in crazy indian scales and other exotics.

Listen to "freinds" for example.

Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You
that song is the first song that I heard when I was blazed. I still must say that it's the best song that I have ever heard. The guitar solo in the middle is amazing
