Just got back from Babbage to ask them about 4 GBC games trade in deal.
They said, it's not the game, but trade in one GBC system and get one GBA Game free (pay tax only).
WTH !
I guess that's why I haven't been to games store like that for a long time.
They have the most ridiculous pricing I've ever seen. sometimes they even sell stuff more than msrp (at msrp price is bad enough)
example:
used SSX (PS2) is $44.99, new Crazy Taxi (PS2) is $54.99, used DVD's for $19.99 (mostly).

Do they actually sell anything ? who buy stuff there ? anybody here ?

I do sometimes buy games there, just on the PC clearance bin. that's about it.
some great classsic games can be had for about $10.

I can imagine some kid go there to buy Crazy Taxi and said:
Can I get Crazy Taxi for $49.99 ? I'll add $5 for you to kick my azz.

Funcoland? A few years ago, I wanted to buy Mortal Combat 2 for the Game Boy. The used game price at Funcoland was more expensive than the new game price at Best Buy. And the two stores were right next to each other! Of course, I got my game at Best Buy.

All the EB's and Software Ect's around here are located in the mall. Simply because they are in the mall is a reason to mark up the prices an extra 10% to 15%. Ever gone to a Sam Goody, Music Land, or Suncoast in the mall? Holy outrageous prices batman!

Well where I live, Software Etc. is cheaper than EB, and their preorder policies are better...but either way its cheaper to buy online from their companies' website :)

I never buy from Software Etc. When I'm at the mall I'll look around in their store, and then go buy from Wal-Mart or OfficeMax. I've seen used N64 games at Software Etc. for the same price, or more expensive than Wal-Mart is charging for the same game, NEW.
