This thread is kind of freaky to me because I just got "The Who Ultimate Collection" yesterday and I never knew that Baba O'Riley was the name of that song until about 24 hours ago.

Led Zeppelin - Moby Dick (on the How the West was Won CD) 15+ minutes of Bonham drum solo.

ARGHHHHHH... Dammit!!! Why'd you have to mention John Bonham!!

I just lost my 28 year old Ludwig LM402 Supraphonic Snare while we were packing up at our last gig..:(

I'm still mourning it and this is just salt in the wound!! Now I've had to switch to my 5 1/4" Versalite and it's just not the same...

FVCK,FVCK,FVCK,FVCK,FVCK!!!

The whole album is outstanding. With Baba O'Riley, Behind Blue Eyes and Won't Get Fooled Again as the standouts and other great stuff like The Song is Over, Bargain and My Wife mixed in, it's arguably The Who's best album.

You forgot 'going mobile'

baba is probably not their best effort, but it is one of the best!

I saw the Who back in '82, and then in 2000. Every time they do that live, Townshend just stands there for the first 30 seconds or so and does nothing - his guitar doesn't come in until that point in the song, which is amazing. Entwisle fires the bass like a guitar through that whole song.

Agreed, it's an amazing album. I've been listening to that and Quadrophenia a lot lately

I was lucky enough to get to see this song preformed by the WHO before Kieth Moon died.

He was a fantastic drummer!

For a split second, I thought this thread was about Bill O'Reilly...

For the Who, I like Love Reign O'er Me and 5:15 (outta my brain on the train!)

Daltry, in my view, has/had the best rock vocal talent, period.
