Ba vs. BS?

In my program I can earn either one or the other depending on some classes I would take. Which one is looked upon to be better?

BA = bachelor of arts
BS = bull sh!t. j/k. bachelor of science.

depends on the field you wanna get into; if its more liberal arts etc do BA, if its computer science, technical etc do BS

I'm ending up with a BA in bio, my school doesn't offer BS. For all practical purposes, there is no difference. BS kinda sounds better though. Every science job I looked at that advertised BS were also taking BA, there really wasn't anything good unless you had a MS or PhD.
I guess if you are in a science/engineering field you might as well get the BS, that's what, just some extra research?

in my field I get a BA degree but I do a whole lot of research and stuff.. yes the dept is in teh social.science division.. but that's the only thing..

we have so much science and stuff we take.. that barring a few calculus classes we are short of a BS..

BA just sounds a bit lesser of a degree than a BS for most Asians and Indians.. but in all they are the same.

At my school, the only difference was that you had to have some language credits to get the BA.
