My school offers a BA in computer science rather than the typical BS degree. So what does that mean?

Here is an outline of the major and required math minor:

<<
42 Credits in Computer Science:
CSCI 135 Software Analysis and Design 1
CSCI 145 Computer Architecture 1
CSCI 150 Discrete Structures
CSCI 235 Software Analysis and Design 2
CSCI 245 Computer Architecture 2
CSCI 265 Computer Theory 1
CSCI 335 Software Analysis and Design 3
CSCI 340 Operating Systems
CSCI 345 Computer Architecture 3
5 CSCI 300- and 400-level electives

14 Credits in Mathematics:
MATH 150 Calculus 1
MATH 155 Calculus 2
MATH 160 Matrix Algebra (effective Fall 1997)
STAT 213 Applied Statistics

That's pretty much what I graduated with, my degree is called a BA, not a BS. I think it's just because it was a Liberal Arts College, and they chose to call all their degrees BA instead of having the science degrees be BSs.

looks like thats all the easy classes that a CS major would take, we had a bs and a ba for computer science, people went to the BA when they couldnt handle the tough CS classes, i dont see any theory of computing classes, algoritihm design classes, compiler theory, a bunch of probabilty and discrete math classes, data structures classes.

program seems a little weak in my opinion.

Yup, I go to a primarily liberal arts college. I don't know how good this degree is going to be, but I should probably stay at this school, program being weak or not. It's affordable, and designed for people that work. I'll need to stay in the city to work, and so the workload is very scalable to my schedule.
