B75M-GL R2.0 doesn't find SATA drives

I have AsRock B75M-GL R2.0 (BIOS v1.60) mother board and I would like to connect additional drive to my setup.

There is a problem, as if I hot connect a new drive, nothing happens, or older drives are lost in Win7.

If I restart the PC, BIOS doesn't recognize any drives except main OS SSD, and Win7 doesn't boot up.

Until now, I had connected:
- OCZ VERTEX3 128GB (SATA3)
- WD 250 GB (SATA2)
- WD 500 GB (SATA2)
- WD 1TB (SATA2 - new drive)

The same thing happens if I connect one internal DVD drive on sata2 port, so I didn't use DVD for last year or two.
If i disconnect two older drives, and connect a new one, it works perfectly, but if I then hot connect one of the drives, they are not recognized.
Has anyone got any idea, is maybe my power unit to weak? I have PowerLC LC5550, i5 3470 processor and AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series.

Thanks for any ideas.

EDIT: Now I can't get two older drives to work again, I get only OS SSD and 1 drive, and not on all sata ports, just two work.

My cousin has this motherboard in his build,i know before i sold him the build i had issues with hooking up the 2 hard drives and dvd rom as some of the ports simply wouldn't work.

I had to eventually dance the sata cables around till finally the 3 worked. Those same ports that wouldn't work suddenly would if i had just 2 hooked up.

Oh, great, thanks for the feedback.

So this confirms that the MB has some problems with ports. Damn I wish I knew this before warranty run out.

Soo, after some plugging and unplugging of SATA cables, i managed to get all the drives to work.

Hope they remain working. ;)

Glad you got all those working.

Outside of that issue,it was a very good motherboard. It seems budget boards come with some sort of quirk usually.

Now cheap Gigabyte boards, always with needing Bios updates just to get newer video cards to work including my current one.Imagine a AMD based mobo simply not working with a 6770 but with a 560 even with a fully updated Bios lol.
