I was browsing through different motherboard, just to know more about them. One strange thing I found is as per MSI website, B450M Mortar has 2 M.2 slots, both with M-key for SSDs:

and I am using same SSD, Samsung 860 EVO but PCpartPicker list keeps on showing it as incompatible. I don't get it, if motherboard has same key-type slots and it got 2 of them and I am using 2 SSDs, how come the incompatibility arise ?

PCpartpicker isn't that accurate on compatibility.

That said, looking at the detailed specs of that board, it shows that one of the M.2 slots supports PCIe (NVMe) SSDs, and the other slot says it supports both PCIe (NVMe) and SATA M.2 drives.

That's probably what is triggering your compatibility warning.

This is most likely it. One of the slots will have PCIE support only, and will not work with a SATA m.2
