B150 chipset for budget gaming mb

Would the max number of pcie lanes of the B150 chipset (8 vs 16 for h170) affect gaming performance?

Will other add on cards eat into the 8 lanes so the video card would have 7 pcie lanes left if a soundcard is also installed?

I think you've misunderstood something. LGA-115x boards (almost) always have a PCIe x16 slot provided from the CPU:

Its only the chipset that has a few less PCIe lanes to go around. Besides those are limited by the DMI link anyway. Performance should be identical.
