So it's gettin' hot & while the wife likes to walk & I like to jog, it's just gettin' a little too hot outside lately.

Thinkin' this might be the year to go w/ a treadmill!

The local Costcos here in So Cal vary between having the $999 units with the TV in 'em or the $699 (?) units w/o. I really don't need a TV built into the thing, but I'm most concerned about the quality/longevity of the thing.

Wal Mart? Sears?

I know the $5K gym type are great, but I ain't got $5K to spend on a treadmill.

If you're looking for deals on treadmills there's this thread: ~~~~ IWANNA ~~~~ .

you can always go used commercial equipment. I recently picked up a precor c956 that was home owned for $800. It looks new.

Treadmills are cheap. Everyone is going elliptical. I would imagine in so cal, you can find lots of nice equipment cheap.

I am sure you can find someone who specializes in reselling equipment. Some people just want the old stuff gone and replace it with the latest stuff. So the guy selling the latest top of the line equipment might have leads for where to find nice used stuff.
