Microcenter shoppers, it starts.

Looks like Ivy Bridge will be $10 more than the Sandy Bridge CPU's, with 3570K at $189 and 3770K at $289.

$50 off Z77 boards with purchase of 3570K right now.

yea, my "ancient" i7 950 @ 4.2 tri sli 480 hydros still blaze through everything.
waiting for the true next gen stuff...

they just trying to get rid of 1155 mobo stock with this generation imho. what's teh point of going 22nm when there is no significant core or clock increase?

Gonna keep my 2600K setup for another Tick or Tock.

I may upgrade my Asus P8P67 to a Z68 though... Not sure if it is really worth it.

Damn, I really wish I hadn't bought my Z77 Asrock Extreme4 mobo ahead of time :(
Would have saved $50 with Microcenter since I just bought my 3570K from them for $189. Although, I guess it's not so bad because I bought the Asrock mobo with a Newegg gift card, so the only thing I really would have saved was using my gift card.

Whats a good z77 motherboard?

Looks like a good quality motherboard. With shipping its all $360.

Shoot.

This morning I could get the 3570k in my cart - now it disappears whenever I add it. Message "Removed items that are inactive or no longer valid."
Weird though, I can't get it in even if I choose in-store pickup.

Other items I can add.

I got the 3770K this morning because I was afraid the shipping thing wouldn't last long. My order was processed and I got a confirmation email saying it should ship by 5/2. Total was $320 after tax and shipping, so only about $30 cheaper than NE or the zon. The nearest micro center is about 3 hours away, so like $50 in gas. So for me, gas plus tax would negate the whole savings vs. NE, haha. So I'm hoping they don't cancel it or something.

For real. Brand new 3750K and Asus P8Z77-V PRO mobo for $360? absurd if you're in the market for a new system. I only got the 3770K because I need hyperthreading for Folding@Home.
