I need to upgrade the PSU in my Dell Inspirion 530 (Q6600 + 2 hard drives) so that I can stick in a GPU (HD 5830).

Is the AzzA Dynamo 850w PSU any good? I know it doesn't have the 80+ certification... I am getting it for $40 brand new in box locally so that is what is driving me to buy this particular uni

850W is ridiculously overkill for your build. A good quality 500W unit would be easily enough - you could've gotten an Antec Neo Eco 520C for $30 AR AP on newegg.

AZZA isn't a highly regarded PSU brand. The warranty on that unit is only two years and as you said it doesn't have 80+ cert. I can't find any reviews of the AZZA unit to prove it but I'm certain the Seasonic-built Antec unit is more stable and has better components.

Definitely not, based on its fraudulent, falsified UL "certification":

There was recent discussion of another uncertified 850W, a Kentek, that failed at less than 400W.
