I've been using uTorrent for many years, but for a few reasons, I need to install Azureus. Is there any way I can get an older version (without the Vuze stuff in it)? If so, which version should I google for? Will it let me use an old version without auto-updating?

Thanks!

oldversion.com and oldapps.com have down to version 2.0.1.0

You could try searching for an older version number if needed. You should be able to use without auto-updating if you refuse to apply the update. As I haven't used Azureus in a while I can't remember 100% if you had that option. :)

What do you need from Azureus? uTorrent has a webUI and encryption. If you need IP blocking just use PG2 instead of the azureus PG plugin. I leave PG2 running 24/7 it blocks a lot of junk and I don't even download stuff.

azureus works and does let you use the classic mode which is superior to vuze.
not sure how to go back to classic from vuze though.
