Azureus

I've been using uTorrent for many years, but for a few reasons, I need to install Azureus. Is there any way I can get an older version (without the Vuze stuff in it)? If so, which version should I google for? Will it let me use an old version without auto-updating?

oldversion.com and oldapps.com have down to version 2.0.1.0

You could try searching for an older version number if needed. You should be able to use without auto-updating if you refuse to apply the update. As I haven't used Azureus in a while I can't remember 100% if you had that option.

You still have the option of using the classic interface in v3.0. Looks just like the older versions did.

What do you need from Azureus? uTorrent has a webUI and encryption. If you need IP blocking just use PG2 instead of the azureus PG plugin. I leave PG2 running 24/7 it blocks a lot of junk and I don't even download stuff.

azureus works and does let you use the classic mode which is superior to vuze.
not sure how to go back to classic from vuze though.
