I have been running azureus several times on my macs and always had trouble with the program crashing. Now I only have a mbp and no old g4 computer that I feel like messing up with an installation of it. So am I the only one with this experience?

No, most of us have switched to Transmission for that reason

unfortunately, some private trackers STILL frown on transmission. Not sure if they haven't updated anything or what... but some it reflects in the users who block it.

But I never had an issue w/ Azureus myself. Just clunky as it always has felt on both OS X and Windows for me. With that, I do just use Transmission.

I have a general distaste for Java apps on OS X. Limewire, Eclipse, JGrasp, Azureus... they all seem to take an awfully long time to load, and are then relatively sluggish to boot.
