I have the Azio EX01 Mouse....

http://www.aziocorp.com/webe/html/contact/index2.aspx?kind=6

... I've only had it about a month and am already far too frustrated with the side buttons taking me away from pages where I've typed an extensive amount and loose it all due to an accidental click with no warning of loosing whatever has been typed. I'm active on far too many forums for this to be acceptable behavior, so I started looking for a way to disable the side buttons.

First checked the mouse properties.... Nope, no way to disable them there.... Check the manufacturer's website and got a similar response....

From their site:
Where can I find drivers for this keyboard/mouse?

This keyboard/mouse uses generic HID drivers already on your operating system and doesn’t require any specialized drivers.

and

Can the mouse buttons be reassigned?

The buttons on this mouse cannot be reassigned and will only utilize their default assignments.

I can't believe any manufacturer would be so cheap as to not have their own drivers for non-standard mouse configurations.

My only other recourse is possibly a 3rd party driver that may allow for disabling the buttons.

So to my question, has Microsoft, or anyone else, put out a generic driver that will allow the disabling of any extra buttons beyond the left click/right click/wheel?

...or should I just take this mouse as a loss and go buy another Logitech?
