AZ11E only recognizes my maxtor 20gig as a 2gig! Help!

I tried to fdisk and format and I noticed it only said the drive was 2GB in size. I ran the POWERMAX utility from maxtor website and it said BIOS Large Hard drive support:FAILED. I updated to the latest BIOS but that didn't fix it. Does anyone know what could be wrong?? I also ran the Maxblast and it said the drive was 20GB so I am positive it is my motherboard. Help please.

looks like you formatted it to Fat16.

Fdisk again & enable fat32.

Make sure your IDE detection in the Bios is set to Auto.

I didn't even FDISK it yet because the bios only sees it as 2 GB. I did fdisk it and enabled the large disk support at first but that didn't work. Maximum size was 2GB. WHY WON'T IT WORK!! AAAARGH!:|:|:|:|:|

Try format your HD w/ Maxtor's MaxBlast Plus.

Or you can use the DATAERASER to complete low level format that write your HD into all "0" then "1" again.

Yeah, I'm and idiot and the fix was so easy I'm not even going to say what I did.

but it's fixed now.
