Well... it's not unusual to see -40 or colder this time of year. But if you compare our expected high today of -35 to the average high of -1...

And I don't care where you live... -40 is f'ing cold!

What is this snow you speak of? All I see is this ugly brown grass. Of course they have a small chunk of S. Michigan in a Snow Advisory starting at 7pm. We shall see...

Winter in Michigan? This morning is was 55 degrees when I woke up in good old Deeeetroit. 🙂

Not complaining though... I'll take what I can get... -40 I don't think I'd leave the house. lol

Well... we don't *have* it, but we used to get it.

And I like it too actually. Lake effect seems like it's usually the big fluffy snow.

So what's frozen fog like? does it fall to the ground like snow? or do you have to chop your way through the "air"?

It's 10 degrees Celcius (Or canadian, depending on who you ask) in SouthWestern Ontario today. Nicest I've ever experienced in January.

It doesn't snow at -40. All the moisture in the air freezes into ice crystals. We call it ice fog.

Time to move.

If I spent anytime housebound up there in winter, I'd be using my wife's lipstick to write R3dRum on the walls before sitting down to write my novel, "All Work And No Play"
