Ayone know any B&M stores that sell pieces of slate or cut it?

Long story short .. the place I ordered my coffee tables and end tables from is taking much longer than expected to arrive, so they ended up letting me take this table that is "incomplete".

It is one of those tables that has slots on the top of it that takes squares/rectangles of specific sizes of slate. I need about 5 of the rectangle ones and 3 of the square ones.

The sizes I need are 4x8 and 8x8.

Find a store specializing in stone and they should either have it for you or tell you where to go.

THere any chain stores that do this? I honestly don't even know of any stores that specialize in these types of stores.

Home depot sells slate tile, not sure if it will be the right size though. If you have to cut it make sure you buy at least twice as much tile as you need for the project. That stuff breaks easily.

Will home depot cut it into the sizes that I need? (for an extra charge or something)

Yea usually 50c a cut but they do have slate instores

There's a huge tile place in Rockville off of Gude Drive. They should have what you need if Lowes or HD don't.

So I went to home depot and they no longer cut tiles/slate because a customer got a piece in his eye in the store one time.

Does anyone know of any other stores or any specialty stores in Columbia, MD that may sell these?
