EDIT: NM. good old firmware upgrade did the trick.
i bought this some time ago, but only now getting to setting it up.
I have the server software running. I turn the MP101 on and it scans for wireless networks. Finds two. Mine & someone elses in the neighborhood(hmmm i'll have to explore that later). Anyway we were on the same channel(6) so I changed mine to 7.
I think I finally got it to Associate with my network (I switched the MP101 to Ad Hoc networking). it's now stuck on Requesting an IP. it doesn't receive one which leads me to believe it never got on to my network. It auto-generates an IP that's way out of my range (mine is 192.168.0.xxx & it generates 169.254.xxx.xxx)
I do have WEP enabled, and have entered that KEY1 into the MP101 KEY1. I've changed the MP101 from DHCP to Static IP and assigned it an IP from my range - it then tries to search for a server and tells me none found. I try to ping the ip I assigned and it times out.
I've verified my laptop can still connect wirelessly just fine and i'm totally out of ideas
any clues?
