AYHJA TBirds

Has anybody seen the hype surrounding this "new" TBird stepping? It's superior to AXIA. These chips will/are apparantly hitting 1.6-1.7 with air cooling! Some 1.33s have been found with this code, I wonder if the new 1.4Ghz chip will have this stepping? If so we could be looking at 1.4 @ 1.7Ghz very soon...

Cuz i just ordered an AXIA Y stepping now i'm thinking about canceling it and going for this new stepping...

I have mine ordered, it will be here tuesday... will post results of overclocking...

Btw, with some extreme cooling the "Y" can hit 1.65ghz, I have seen some people using portable A/C units to do this with a Swiftech heatsink and fan. Go figure... these are also the people that don't get out much either.

I'm not sure if you're asking about which company has them or which end-user has one. If the former, then try ocz.safeshopper.com and icompz.com, with the second having the lower prices. If the latter, I don't know, sorry. I can tell you this for certain: I heard about them last night and ordered one today. Maybe my MC-462 will have to work harder for its room and board, now.

I ordered one today too...it came out to like 200 bucks and i'm doing will call. Bzboyz.com has'em...but they're taking forever to process my order!!! I'm so excited and i'm getting crazy impatient...how long does it take to charge something on a credit card??!?!! But anyways, I think most of the ppl in here just want to see how stable and high these things can go. I read the article Biggs provided the link for (thanks Biggs) but its an article...and i want to hear something from the users themselves. But i guess its kinda early so i'm just gonna take a gamble on this. Hope it turns out better than the AXIA Y. But i guess with a lot of cpus...it's luck of the draw. Wait and see...

Anyone else got any more info on this??? Compuwiz...how about you???

Kind of ironic, that you were asking me questions about remarked chips, then you went and purchased from a company, who's buyer(s) are making such claims about that very company.

Compuwiz is right...just looked at the reseller rating for bzboyz.com and it's not just bad...it's very bad. The &quot;remarked chips&quot; thingy really scared me away. Looks like i learned a hard lesson today...not just on having patience and going to trusted ppl...but also on manners and being courteous. Thanks compuwiz...saved my butt again.

wow, that's seriously tempting. but i think i'm gonna have to hold out just a little longer and see what the palominos can dish out seems almost wasteful to go for a chip now with palominos on the way, but damn that's tempting

Does anyone know for sure whether the new 1.4 T-Birds will all have the newer stepping AYHJA or not, also when is the palomino going to be released I've heard all kinds of dates. Are they going to cost allot more than the T-Birds.Thanks for any help.

I remember reading the anandtech article that the Palominos will arrive in august or later. That's very very soon. But most of the dates i've seen are marked in that area...(aug, sept, oct). As for the price...of course it'll be more expensive than the T-birds...just look right now...all the AMD prices except for the 1.4 have dropped sharply and fast. So it looks like AMD is making roads for the Palomino to arrive soon. But yeah, i don't think it'll be cheap...but like always...prices always drop over time. That's all i know...
