I just bought an EPoX 8RDA+ mobo and an AXP 1700+ JIUHB 0302.
My first step is from 1466 to 1533 MHz.

Even at this low speed, there are problems. The game NFS HP2 game 'pauses' for one second from time to time; the fps rate is then 0. At normal clock speed this doesn't happen. My video card is an Asus GeForce4 MX460; but this is irrelevant because the bus speed is still 133/266 MHz. I use an Arctic Copper Silent cooling.

The Vdd is 1,58 V and de VCore is 1,648 V. The CPU temperature (stressed) is 41 degrees, measured during running 3D Mark 2001.

K...so what kind of RAM do you have as that would be relevant!

Not really, since the bus speed is not overclocked.
I use Dane Elec memory PC2700; but the access time is stated as 7,5 ns; which is quite strange.

It does matter and the RAM that you have is apparently junk as most PC2700 RAM has 6 nans...Yes some cherry picked 7.5nans will work but I doubt if that Dane you have is (chip #'s?). The only thing that can be done/tried till you get some major brand stuff is to relax the RAM settings and/or feed it more v's

How much total ram do you have? And you might want to do a memtest on it. And you do have your timmngs set at 2.5-3-3-6? I don't see why your game would pause because of overclocking, unless its near un-stable but recovers. But even then I would think it would outright crash.
