I have a 1Ghz Athlon B that I was thinking of replacing with a 1Ghz. I have an MSI K7T Turbo R. My friend works at a Computer shop in town and can get me an AXIA week 15, Y chip really cheap (<$80). The HS+fan I have is a hollow core ThermoEngine with a 23cfm YSTech fan. Do you think I can OC that AXIA pretty easily? Should I just wait for an Athlon MP? What should I do? Is this even a worthy upgrade? I can't OC my current T-bird much more than 1100.... I have to decide this by 5:30PM MST.
HELP ME

THANKY :)

I'd go for the axia. mine is a week 9 (i think). Does 1.43 with my pal 6035. I run it at 1.4 rock solid. It too is a 1ghz chip. I think with a SK6 or something I could prolly hit 1.5ghz. And that price is dirt!!

If you want to overclock and you can get an Axia for that cheap then definitely go for it! At that price it's a steal!! :D Your HSF should be good enough. If not you can always buy a new one.
