Awww WTF, do cats fart? If yes, do they do this often?

Turkish

I know this sounds funny but man wtf... I think my kitten is still too young (8,5 weeks) for tuna... I gave her some tuna last night and it stinks all around the house today... 😱 I checked and saw that she pooped in her litterbox so she must be farting.. oh man, do grown up cats fart as well or what? 🙂

Btw, here is a new photo of her. I held her like that so you can see she has grown up since the last thread about her 😀

My cat is always blowing ass, and always when I'm watching a movie with him on the bed. Dirty ah heck.

The mere fact that you have posed this question has intimidated me enough to bar the front door and board up my windows; The Apocalypse is coming.

Canned tuna is bad for cats, kittens should get special food until 1 year old or so, all cats fart but just like you and me, it is the type of food they eat that makes them do this, stop with the tuna and get some science diet or iams.

Once you get past the smell you've got it licked

Alright thansk for the advice. Unfortunately Kroger near my house doesn't sell Science Diet, so I'll stop by Walmart tonight to check it out... the worst it comes to will be driving to Petsmart which is 30 minutes away from my house 🙂 I heard that's the best stuff, is this true? If yes, why? 🙂 Thanks again.

Kittens and puppies fart all the time , but cats do not unless they have a problems or are eating human food, dogs are about the same as cats but a little more often.

My cat was going to jump up on my chair once. My chair is really high (like a barstool) and he put everything he could to jump up...and he farted the whole way up...like a rocket...

Only cat fart incident I've had

Yeah, it's pretty rare though. I think because of their regulated diet their digestive system is smoother running than ours. 😱

me and oniq just got a kitten and he farts all the time. He especially likes to do it when he's really close to us. 🙁

All mammals fart. You're clearly too young to remember the great whale flatulence migration of '78. The capsized boats were everywhere. Oh, the horror...

I think yours got a bit of gas from the tuna. However, if your kitty is doing such things routinely, rule our parasites before trying a diet change.

yes, they fart. you usually can't hear it, but it's usually MAJORLY stinky. avoid wet food and avoid too much tuna and you should be ok, though.
