i used to be able to download at 90-100 k per sec, and upload at about 20k, but now, i'm downgraded to a lowly 30k per sec, with a 10k upload. this sucks. they accidentally gave me the faster package at first, and i guess they've caught on. mann, this 30k downloading crap sucks donkey balls. well, i'm glad that my pings are still really nice though, but darnit, my downloads IS suck.

If it doesn't cost too much, maybe you could pay for the updgrade. I would. Of course 30K/sec sounds pretty good to me.

The majority of the world drags along on dialup because there is no other option. Trade me connections for a month, &amp; then we'll see how much you hate your 30K downloads.

I admit I am spoiled with my broadband, but I am shocked that any cable modem service offers so little speed. I consistently get 2-3 Mb/s with Cox@Home.

Broadband access is like crack, you can't just quit, you're hooked. The provider knows you're not going back to dial-up so they can charge whatever they want for just a little bit of bandwidth.

well, even though my downloads went down the drain, my latency is still pretty good. i ping at about 30 to most ra3/cs servers, so i'm still golden. i just won't be able to download ware....wait, umm, shareware. heh heh.

Spoiled? did you say spoiled? I have a 10Mbps connection and I ACTUALLY download stuff at 1100Kbytes/s (Yes bytes not bits) 15Megs files in 13 seconds flat each AND I pay 16 dollars for that a month...can you guess where?

My DSL was that way.. it was full speed when I first got it then they decided to limit it and it became garbage so I moved to AT&amp;T Broadband (Cable) and all was well..
