We do have a small local computer store, but they can't compete with Wal-Mart prices on new stuff so they sell older systems.

i had a compusa guy come at me trying to get me to buy the service plan. i said NO at least 7 times to the same manager. finally i just put the laptop i was gonna buy down and left the store. Idiot. i went and bought one at Circuit City instead.

I bought something the other day from CompUSA...oh yeah...a floppy drive ($21 with tax...I know...but I needed one in a hurry).

Person ringing me up asked if I wanted an extended warranty.

"Uhhh....and that's how much for the warranty?"
"19.95, sir".

"And the drive is...uhh...how much?"

Dunno Aphex, all I know is its pretty sad when the Fry's employees start calling you by name *not me, I swear!*

And a note about best buy: It is so fun messing with the computer salespeople!! OMFG I have so much fun there. I go in there like "Does this compaq have one of the new geforce 7's with the 1.4megaherts processor? What about a one of those 60 megabits hard drives?"

They look so confused and try to act like theyre the sh!t ...rofl
