Awp haters rejoice!

This thread is dedicated to those who are frustrated by the awp in counterstrike. In my opinion, the gun is too accurate and deadly. Granted, it takes a while to get good, but if you're in a server with somebody who is really really good with it...it's almost impossible to kill him...and he takes out your whole team.

Actually, it's pretty much 1 hit kill ANYWHERE. Sometimes you'll get hit in the leg and it won't kill you...but don't count on it. I've been killed with a shot in the toe @ 100 health.

Getting shot only once and you die, how unrealistic!

I don't think it's the getting shot once and you die that's bad, but how amazingly fast AWPers can zone in on someone that makes it a bit unfair.

On a side note, I've had someone survive four of my awp shots once.

I know! It generally takes 20-30 automatic plasma rounds to kill somebody. 1 hit kill? Hah! Not without the redeemer, cerebal boar, or the golden gun!

Oh no, I looked at the damage report afterwards.

I was only using the AWP, and it was something like 600 damage in 4 hits. I got like three foot shots through a wooden door before finally landing a headshot on the guy

I don't think I've even swore as much as I have when playing Counterstrike. It is the most aggrivating game ever made.

Do what I do, play on a No Sniper server.

Auto-snipe is worse, but not much worse than AWP.

Hah. Hah hah. The awp is not automatic, a delay on its scope, the scope makes noise, and it slows you down. It's good at what it does, but it's not made to take out a team. The reason you can't kill an awper is because you aren't good with whatever else you're using. /enlarge e-penis gogo

Try playing Tribes with a bunch of heavy armors on the opposing team. Never have I wanted to strangle someone through the net more than I have in Tribes.

I miss (sort of) being good at CS/various other FPS. Nothing more humbling to a nerd/former nerd than loading up an old game he used to rock ass in and get owned by a bunch of guys who sound like their nuts haven't dropped.

yup. knee and below = 87 dmg with AWP.

ill admit it, im an awp whore if i get going, i can be pretty consistant and deadly.

however, its easy to kill them, get multiple ppl, rush strategicaly, and rape him. smoke kills.

AWP on D2 is fun, and Italy, thats just fun as hell as a T. i can pwn whole teams there.

Who the heck thinks awp is hard to learn? anytime some nub bitch is awpin I just start, kill him and 3 or 4 others, then say (I have it bound)
"OMG TEH L337 AWPZOR!" over and over until they stop awping.
